Between Points, Performative Boat Ride

Prior Engagements, A Symphony of Chance and Love, explored the serendipity of romance through curated blind dates along Berlin's canals.

As strangers meet in designed settings, a passing canal boat chauffeurs spectators allowing them to voyeuristically observe landbound performances along the canal from the perspective of a cruise guest passing by. An Italian opera singer performs "Heaven and Ocean" from the opera La Gioconda standing in a row boat, inspired by Henry Miller's love letters to Anaïs Nin, creating a poignant soundtrack to these new encounters.  The project incorporates theater, music, and social experiment to reflect on love, chance, and human connection. This project was conceived by The Performance Agency during Berlin Art Week.
