This production exercised surrealism through the lens of commercialism, questioning the influence of aesthetics and production in western consumer culture. By making the absurd desirable, the piece examined the power of surrealism within a capitalist framework. Created in collaboration with artist James Gregory Atkinson, T.A.N was performed at Douglas Gordon’s performance space, The Room, in Berlin and later exhibited at the Frankfurt Schauspiel in Frankfurt am Main.
